We didn’t wind up hitting all three, but I did enjoy the Lost Love mini-vertical from Crux. Most years I pull a few pints from the cellar to share with fellow revelers, although 2020 was an exception. No comment. 2021, while smaller, delivered. I shared two wonderful Barrel-Aged Imperial Stouts. They were both rich and deeply flavored, but I appreciated the mild complexity of the 2021 rye stout over the 2020 just plain-old really good stout. Happily I still have a bottle of each to age a bit further and delve into in a perhaps more civilized setting that a street firepit with explosives. The Matryoshka remains untouced in the fridge - we were satisfied after the two 14+%ers.
